A Whale of a Tale for Offshore Wind Power
The past few months have been full of exciting news for supporters of offshore wind energy in the U.S. First, NWF highlighted in a report this fall the huge progress by many states. Weeks later, we saw a renewable energy lease issued off of Delaware, followed recently by news of the first-ever competitive sale for offshore renewable energy leases off the coasts of Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Virginia.
